Cannot side swipe to view previous window.

I am behind you but having the same frustration! Even on Brave where generally there is an arrow to go back with-nope same thing I have to start all over. Ideas anyone?
Check the Settings > System > Gestures > Navigation mode

Thank you, George, you are a lifesaver that did it. I have been muddling along, lol.
A couple of questions- a way to set up visual voicemail? An app for sms that allows me to sort known contacts, from unkown? delete quicker than one by one? I switched to QUICK, I can get spam to not announce, still mixed in. Doesn’t matter to me if you have a different app to recommend.
I got the update done last night, and now it is working so it is a good day!! I have a long thread that I believe you put together that I will review now that I am a bit more familiar. As an aside I would like more emojis and gifs, lololol-if you/anyone has an app recommendation great-not a priority.

I pushed the setting to High and it’s back to normal.

Regarding the SMS just try various apps from Aurora.
The visual voicemail is related to the carrier with some charging for the service in combination with some app.
The emojis are keyboard related, you can install various keyboards beyond the default which is Heliboard, like Fossify and Fctx5 from F-droid.
For Heliboard you can probably load more sets of emojis, in Settings search for “Heliboard” and in its settings search for “emoji” to find “Set custom emoji font from file”, now you can download emoji fonts from the internet and load them.
