Can't make or receive calls on roaming

I was traveling to Finland (EU), wasn’t able to make or receive calls. SMS and mobile data worked.
Everything works when back home.
Tried turning on/off VoWifi and VoLTE, no luck.
Carrier: Elisa (I use the same at home)
iode version: 6.7-20250823

Is roaming enabled for you at the carrier end? Some carriers, or if it’s a work phone, it’s disabled by default…

Just a thought.

Same thing for my brax3. I reside in Ontario, Canada and travel to the States a lot. While roaming in the States it connects to T-Mobile in which voice works maybe 15% of the time. Data works 100%

I have used same SIM-card with my last phone when traveling without any problems. Mobile data and SMS worked, so I think roaming is working (or can there be option that only calls don’t work). Will update in January when I travel again.

There might be - been a while since I ran a Corporate IT team, so can’t recall. It was just a thought as it was something in the past I sometimes had issues with as a country head of IT; usually for staff who went overseas and the default from the Telco was to block any overseas roaming unless explicitly activated before leaving the country (and it usually got forgotten about until after the person left the country)…

It may not be the norm these days and may have been more prevalent down here in the antipodes (than in US/EU/etc) because of the exorbitant roaming costs if you went somewhere outside NZ & AU…

Looks like still not working. No calls, sms and mobile data works.

I imagine that you need the local carrier’s settings, try to reset the cellular settings and also to delete the APNs and enter the carrier’s that serves you.

I used to be able to make calls when travelling to the US from Canada. This trip I can’t make or receive calls. I’ve switched to the AT&At network and have roaming on. Nothing different but now it won’t allow in/out calls. Tragedy for me.

Go to your APN settings and delete them and try to enter the APNs for the carrier you are connecting where you are and does the roaming. If it doesn’t work delete again the APNs and reenter AT&T’s again.

You can also call both companies or search on the internet whether there are special settings for roaming.

Where/how do you access the APN settings? Thanks for the hint but I don’t know where to get at the APN settings.

Settings > Network & internet > SIMs
