Odd issue with charging, it doesn’t happen all the time, It seems related to charging control but I am not certain. I’ve been trying to track down the exact issue for a couple of months.
Most times the phone charges just fine. Can set percentages, and will work. There are some issue with this and setting a charging schedule setts off the notifications to near continuous.
then on occasion the charging notifications will go haywire when set to a percentage. Flashing the screen and sounding a notification. This will happen with some of the charging adapters, and when plugged into power outlet in my car. Just not all the time.
Has anyone else experienced such an issue?
I have mine on silent most of the time so I don’t hear the sounds but the screen flashing as it nears gets over 90% is annoying. Didn’t know how to correct it. Hopefully someone has a fix.

Settings > Sound and vibration > Charging sounds and vibration > this is a simple ON - OFF toggle
Settings > Sound and vibration > Charging sounds > has toggles to turn ON - OFF sound or vibration, and a panel to choose a nice soothing sound.
I have BraX3 April 2026 version on iodeOS 7.7-20260724-brax3. If the Charging sound is turned on it sounds at insert charger and eject charger. If sound is off, mine also shows a soft shadow that wipes up the screen on insert charger, but nothing on eject charger.
If your Charging control is set to say 90%. then as it gets to 90% it turns charging off, then the phone operation will discharge the battery until it turns on again. I have no idea what hysteresis, if any, Brax designed between these on-off levels, but if it’s none, then the charger will flutter on-off around 90%. So, there’s another setting:
Settings > Display > Wake on plug > Turn the screen on when connecting or disconnecting a power source.
I have this set off so never see the screen flashing. But I just turned it on, and it works as advertised when un/plugging the charger, but I have no flashing with the Charging control at 90% and the charger on and showing 90%.
From what I’ve noted so far, this issue doesn’t occur for me when it reaches the mac char limit. It happens while it is charging. It may have to do with low wattage chargers and from dc sources. (charging from power port in car)
