From iPhone to Brax3

Hi!,

I’m from the Netherlands and just want a phone that works great with using youtube, banking app, webbrowsing, easy to use, iPhone alike phone.

right now im using a iphone se (3rd generation) because its a phone that i could buy for $300 secondhand that does everything and perfect at that.

I’m really happy with it but im at the same time a tech savvy person (setting up game, web, vpn servers using dedicated servers, vps, etc., coding plugins in sourcemod, and modifying c++ code, coding python, vb.net)

In the end i know exactly where data leaks and im aware that apple is a security problem if you have valuable data to keep save, but im not afraid that apple gets my data to train their ai and whatnot or advertising, im more afraid of my local police, trying to set me up.

I look for a phone that the local police cannot crack easily, my end goal is that it must be very expensive to crack my phone so they give up doing so and release it. (The effort must match the ‘crime’.)

Im no criminal but i out of experience ive been wrongfully jailed multiple times (im an emotional person and can act out of panic becoming aggressive) and they always took my phone and released it like months later forcing me to pick it up, causing me to lose access to everything. I dont have a pc, my setup is iPhone for dealing with everything, game console for gaming, apple tv for watching youtube.

The end question is, can the Brax3 become my new iPhone? I look for ease of use, nice design, hard to crack.

Greetings, Zenguy.

If not, are there alternatives?

The approach we’re taking here is that you don’t keep important things in the phone, when you are facing the authorities you should just be able to unlock the phone and have nothing important in there.

The Android phones are supposed to be somehow vulnerable to a tool that connects on the USB and can brute force small PIN codes. GrapheneOS claims to have pacthed this but they keep it secret so a phone with GrapheneOS makes you automatically a target.

Brax3 is not recommended for the type of use you are interested in without this meaning that they can hack it.

It would be nice to see a Brax phone in the future thats like a iphone but still full privacy based and fights against cracking/unlocking itself by people who shouldnt access it.

i think if you could manage to build such phone that alot more people move towards such privacy device. The common problem i witness is that convenience always comes at cost of privacy, if you can migate (overcome) that then i see this future phone going places. (Just how i see it.)

And thanks for the honest answer George!

Mobile devices should never be your primary back up and production system. They can be lost or stolen any time. In another thread about border crossing it is recommended that you have an empty unlocked phone at every border crossing and your data kept encrypted on some internet storage. You don’t want to come into conflict with authorities, refusing to unlock your phone makes you a target and in some cases you may be denied the entrance in a country for this reason.
