Hola Team! For the past 45+ minutes my Brax3 phone froze. I am not able to shut it down, too. I’ve pressed two and three buttons at the same time, nothing worked. I then pressed down the shutdown button for a bit longer and it came up with a different boot screen. Photo attached. The volume buttons are not working to allow me to choose normal. I cannot lose the files I have in there. What can I do, please? At this present time, I still have the same screen not allowing me to do anything. Gracias!
Brave AI says this:
To power off the Brax 3 phone using buttons, press and hold the power button until the device turns off. This method is standard for most Android devices, including the Brax 3. If the power button does not respond, ensure the device is charged, as a completely drained battery may prevent normal shutdown. If the phone is unresponsive, you can attempt to force a shutdown by pressing and holding the power button for approximately 10–15 seconds, which may trigger a restart or shutdown depending on the device state. For more advanced troubleshooting, such as when the screen is unresponsive, the Brax 3 community recommends contacting support at [email protected] for replacement options if the device remains non-functional after charging.
Gracias, for replying! I pressed the shutdown button for a bit, and it finally shut off. I stepped out of town got back after some hours, turned it back on, and it went right back to the same boot screen. The volume button is still not allowing me to scroll up and down to choose a boot mode as shown on the photo attached earlier. This is insane!
Most likely disk corruption any other signs when turning on, contact brax support they might be experiencing more issues than normal lately because I have been waiting for a reply.
There are some faulty devices from time to time, you may need to replace it, they will send you a code to ship it back, in the meantime you may can access it through a USB cable, the Mediatek tools may can create an image of the internal memory or help you to revive it for a short time until it breaks again.
This is what I get from Duckduckgo AI
How to Backup User Partition Using SP Flash Tool

SP Flash Tool: Download the latest version.

Prepare Your Device:
Ensure your Mediatek device is powered off.
Connect the device to your PC via USB.

Ensure you are using the correct scatter file to avoid errors.
The backup will be saved in the SP Flash Tool's designated folder.
Following these steps will help you successfully back up the user partition of your Mediatek device using SP Flash Tool.
Gracias everyone! Yesterday, I did reach out via email to tech support, after reaching the community support website. I received an automatic email reply that they received my email and will reply if pertaining to ordering and delivering, but suggested that I go on this community site. * I did reply informing them that I’ve already reached out through the community website and I still need help. I just recently started using the phone, made a couple of phone calls and text, and just ordered a SIM card for the second phone. I don’t expect to have issues with all Brax products I buy, as nothing is perfect, but I do expect help from the company. MEANWHILE, AS I WAIT FOR THE COMPANY REPLY VIA EMAIL, if anyone else has any more tech suggestions, so that I don’t lose my important files, please advise me. Though it seems I can’t move any further. BY THE WAY, I did let the battery run out completely, hoping that would make a difference, but it still returned to the same boot screen not allowing me to do anything else. GRACIAS, AGAIN!
It’s a small number of people trying to deal with a huge load, first you ask here and if it’s a technical problem you proceed for replacement, try the SP Flash tool and wait for them to reply in some days.
Hola! I reached via app via the website and via email after I made different attempts. Now I wait for the company assistance because apparently nothing is working. I have no clue what SP Flash Tool is. Please remember everyone is not knowledgeable in the technical and acronym field. I appreciate your time and assistance!
I just saw your prior message of a few minutes ago appearing to be about connecting my phone to a laptop to retrieve my information. I won’t be able to try that until I return later today. I’ve already lost work time trying to figure this out yesterday throughout the morning. I just recently started using the phone, made a couple of phone calls, and just ordered a SIM card for the second phone. Gracias, again!
This topic has more information about the tool, read how to install and use it , don’t format the device, you will only save the user partition that contains your data, charge the phone first to be sure that it won’t turn off during the process, How to manually install or update your OS on your BraX3
UPDATE! I’M JUST READING YOUR LAST MESSAGE. I will thoroughly read it later. It doesn’t seem simple. I don’t think I’ll be able to work with that prior message on partition. I work with the main basic solutions. I’ll leave the deep tech alone. I don’t want to be blamed for doing anything wrong to the telephone, too. Did you ever try any of it? Gracias, again!
You have to do it to save your data, I could try it for you, I haven’t used the tool up to now.
Remember, none of my buttons are scrolling either.
It’s all done through the computer as I can see, you don’t need the buttons, read this too, https://spflashtools.com/
I will reach out again after work today. I don’t want to overwhelm myself with this situation or I won’t be able to focus for the day. Feel free to message me with any other resourceful information. Meanwhile, have a beautiful day!
@plamen I think I’m doing everything right both on Windows and Linux to Readback the userdata partition, but the process doesn’t start,
on Windows it throws an unknown error and the partition is at 0x0
while on Linux it stays there forever and the partition is at 0x2a80…0,
I’m using a size of 0xc0000000 as in the scatter file of 27 December
In both cases the clock doesn’t start to run and there is no data rate
Sr. George! Gracias for your assistance. Tech support finally reached out via email. And unfortunately my telephone remained in the same system boot mode. I am no longer concerned about retrieving my files from the phone. I just want my telephone service back.
As for your last message, I believe you may have sent it to this thread in error and meant to send it to someone else on a different thread.
Just resending because I thought I tagged you:
