I was trying up grade to 6.9 firmware, and my phone is unresponsive. It has a black screen, and I can’t get into the bootloader mode. I get no responses from SP_Flash or from ADB, so I pretty confident I’ve bricked it. Can you unbrick this for me?

Very possible bricked.
Try installing LunarOS via spflash (try with a firmware upgrade first, if not, do format all). This page has a link to the latest build: Welcome to LunarOS
After you install LunarOS, you can switch back to iodeOS. I suggest you flash the latest production build.
spflash doesn’t connect to my phone regardless of whether I am trying to install Lunar or iode. The handshake after plugging in the USB never happens, and eventually times out with an error.
Have you tried with a lunarOS spflash build? LunarOS has the ability to communicate with a hard bricked device as long as the device is off and has some battery charge in it. If you’ve tried and it won’t work, message me in private - I can try a hail marry option that we found works as last resort, and if that won’t work, we can replace it.
