When a text or call comes in while I’m in a public place I can’t turn the volume down with the volume button. How do I tell the phone to use the button for volume control on call/text notification? I can set them in settings, but I can’t adjust with the physical button and every phone I’ve ever owned could do that, so maybe I’m not looking in the right place.
I’m not sure what u mean by having the volume button controlled by a text. We can mute notifications by putting the phone in mute. Pull down the quick menu, tap on mode, and then pick Do Not Disturb.
I’m referring to the notification volume and being able to adjust that notification volume via the button, be it a text message notification or a phone call. I know I can mute it, but why can’t I decrease the volume with the button while the audible notifcation for a text or call is actually ocurring?
In phone settings there is a search where u can see what options are available. Type volume buttons and 3 things appear. I don’t think any of these are what u are looking for, though.
Maybe type call notifications in that search?
A sound profile may work for u!
I’ve been in the settings and I’ve seen the individual volume settings, but every phone I’ve ever had provides the option to use the physical button. Anyhow, as much as I like the privacy, I’m finding this OS quite limited and cumbersome. I don’t recall what it was but last week I was trying to do something that I could do in 2 taps on my old iphone and on my android, and I had to tap 4-5 times on this B3. It’s not as user friendly or intuitive; but I guess that’s the price you pay for privacy.
it’s not the BraX3 u don’t like but iode’ OS. U can flash another Android or Linux OS on it if u like. I actually have 2 phones-1 to experiment with other software and 1 that I keep in iode’. The only other Android I’ve messed with on this phone is Lunar OS which has even less features than iode’. The phone is opensource and the developers here have worked with other opensource developers to get their software ported to this phone. This is their page here which describes how to get another OS on this phone:
