I’m having problems with USB cables no longer staying in. I don’t see any obstruction. All cables are barely snapping in and then ease out. Even without the case.
Try blowing out the USB port with compressed air; you might have a pocket lint buildup.
Is it something that you noticed from the get go, or it was fine but quickly deteriorated?
Have you tried with the USB cable that comes in the box?
Also what’s the impact - you can not charge the phone/transfer files at all? Or when moving it around, the cable gets disconnected?
It developed over the last couple of weeks. I noticed the phone wasn’t charging as it use it when plugged in. It does charge, but just moving the phone can make it slide out. It started getting worse the last few days. The Brax cable too. Other cables stay in better. All the cables work fine on other phones. I’ll get some compressed air. I don’t see any obstruction though.
If it does prove to be pocket lint or dirt, USB 3 port covers can be purchased to keep the connector clean. A bit more of a hassle, but sometimes worth it…
Oh. That would be really nice. Thanks!
Email [email protected] to get a replacement. Sounds like a possible manufacturing defect. Share this post when requesting the exchange.
Also feel free to try out the compressed air if you want to save yourself a 5-15 days of transit time for the replacement.
