Can’t work out whether this is an app issue, and phone issue, or maybe a storage issue.
On both Fossify music and Auxio, every few weeks all playlists just empty out and have no content. The various playlist categories remain, but the music within them disappears.
If the issue is present on both Fossify music and Auxio, it seems that there could be an issue with the storage. Which folder are you adding your music files to and is it local or a microSD extension? Can you navigate to the folder manually file the Files app and see if those files are present there? Are you seeing any other files also disappearing?

Its all on SD card. The playlist folder is there but the titles of each playlist are old, and the files empty. There’s nothing in internal storage, so I’m not sure where my current playlists were stored, unless the app keeps the info to redirect to the mp3 etc
Can you confirm that you can access the audio files stored on your SD card? Maybe try plugging the SD card to another compatible device? We need to understand whether the files get wiped from your SD card, or they are there, but the apps (Fossify Music Player and Auxio) can not read them correctly.
The music is all there. As in the file that is added to a playlist plays from its normal location (artist - album - song) etc. I can play it on the phone in both apps from the SD card. And I can add it to a playlist. But after a period of time the song titles disappear from the playlist, but are playable from within the general folders.
Ok, I see. So this narrows it down. Have you tried using the pre-installed Music app? Also, try clearing the app data of the music player (whichever you use). This should work as a workaround.
Thanks for replying. I’ve tried the music app, phocid, fossify, and auxio. My other phone (non brax, different SD card) had fossify and audio, and that’s done it too now, so it seems to be app related. Its a first world problem. But tedious recreating them
you should be able to export the lists into files (m3u8 etc) so that they can be instantly reloaded, else put the files into directories that can be played as a playlist, this would require duplicate files in some cases
