My story with brax3

Hi everyone,

I’m new around here so I don’t know if somebody had already posted about it.

Sorry, but I have to repeat what I already posted on Brax.me

Well, what can I say…

I’m NOT HAPPY WITH IODE OS. The phone JUST RESTARTS/REBOOTS ITSELF out of the blue!. I’m also experiencing moments when it freezes and/or stutters although I believe it has enough RAM to work smoothly.

I was wondering whether this is some kind of a device fault. That the device is just faulty. It’s possible.

But I also think this is the problem with Iode OS for some unknown reason to me. But this is becoming too big of an issue, especially because this is still technically like new device (not to mention all this is a pain in the ***).

One thing I completely don’t understand is how it passed quality checks during various production stages.

On top of that you have that iode IO zucking app. The Iode News seems to NOT cause issues but iode IO is a completely unnecessary nightmare app.

I don’t know what to do. And I don’t know what I’m gonna do.

But Brax3 cannot be my daily driver any more.

All this is causing that I want to turn away from Android operating system at all. I’m done, I had enough.

But to do that, I still need to learn to install LINUX mobile operating systems. And also WAYDROID, so hopefully I can run android apps on linux.

I’m again in trouble guys. But with your help I should be alright.

With appreciation,

Privacystudent

First try a factory reset, if it persists talk to Plamen for further action like device replacement.

What is exactly your nightmare with iodé app? It blocks connections like uBlockOrigin does, if you don’t like it turn it off.

After you have a working stable phone you can install Ubuntu Touch after intalling LunarOS. It’s a quite advanced procedure for later.

Than you for your feedback on this. It seems that there were some issues introduced with the new updates since iodeOS 7.
The issues are identified for the most part by iode team and a fix is being worked on. I will communicate when we have an update.

Guys,

I have been experiencing yet another problem.

I noticed that when I speak with my family on Signal, suddenly they can’t hear me although I can hear them. I have to hang up and call them again.

I’m becoming R E A L L Y !!! irritated by that. What the Zuck is going on here?!

TO ME IT’S A NO-NO!. Sorry.

Thanks bud. At the moment I can’t just do a factory reset. But you’re right, I’m gonna have to do it soon.

I don’t know what uBlockOrigin is yet. Or what it does. But i’m gonna find out.

But from what I noticed, this iode OS app is doing the same thing as good ol’ Netguard.

Except it is very intrussive. Yes, you can turn it off. Problem is, it likes to turn itself back on!!. And I gotta say, it’s no fun.

Well, if at all possible, I’d like to run Ubuntu Touch or SailfishOS without LunarOS as those are stand-alone systems.

uBlockOrigin is the most popular ad-blocker for browsers, iodé app is something like that optimized for iodéOS so that you don’t give permissions to 3rd party apps.

LunarOS sets up the dual-boot mechanism so you have both and you can choose any time which one to boot.

Sailfish has not been ported and it probably won’t, it depends on them.

Thank you. I would like to see that working for others as I’m planning departure from Android. It’s just that it will take me some time. But I have enough.

Thanks george, appreciate that.

I think dual-boot is a nice feature to have so it’s certainly worth considering.
