I was able to hotspot my laptop before the update. Now it doesn’t connect.
I turned on hotspoting and blue tooth tethering, entered the password on the laptop and it doesn’t connect. The message shows up unable to connect. Any suggestions on the phone or laptop setup?
I am aware IODE is the main OS and android is not. So doing an Android option might not work.
The second snag is while using Fosify group chat in the text app, I find now I receive individual texts from the group and the same as when I send them. It doesn’t show under a common chat instead its like I am talking to each person separately. I think it is a glitch with the app.
I did an update and haven’t had time to try it out yet to see if it fixed it.
I can’t get my hotspot to work either. I’ve been trying for weeks. Same message as you. I hope someone has some insight into this!
It was fixed on iode 7.0, you have to upgrade, Trying to update from 6.3 to 7.0 (but no WIFI, and no mobile data) - #4 by george
Thanks. I’ve been following that topic. I think this is slightly different. I’m unable to use my brax3 as a hotspot.
It is probable that the same change in the code that fixed the WiFi should be done for the hotspot, there isn’t much feedback for that since users rarely use the phone like that.
Again connecting the phone to the PC on Android Studio with USB debugging and checking the LogCat can show valuable information when a device tries to connect to the phone.
Maybe it’s just as well that the hotspot doesn’t work ![]()
(Thinking about what you said.)
