Some problems have appeared in 6.8
DekuSMS is crashing when being made default as sms app.
It is not the case on up to date stock android phones,
So the problem can only reside in iodeos.

Can you clarify the repro steps exactly before the crash?
The app just crashes when you open it, or there are more steps?
I just installed deku SMS, made it default and sent an SMS without an issue on the latest iode beta (6.9)
the app only crashes if it is being used by the system which is being determined as default app for text messages.
If you just open it while not being the default app, no messages will display and the app is not crashing.
Did you have several text before already or is it a new db? Don’t forget i am on 6.8 not 6.9

Thanks for clarifying.
I tested with 6.9, as the latest beta, to determine whether a new issue is needed on iode’s dev board.
It’s a new DB I used as environment. Will try to get some SMS in and out later to test that as well. If you have the chance to test the same on 6.9, that will be great.
not until I have my IMEI changed I am afraid for security reason because of mil deployment next to your country.
