What do they mean “locked”?
Don’t you have cellular service?
Maybe the solution is to change the IMEI to some Pixel or iPhone one, How to change the IMEI - Open Source Community Guide

Have you tried via QKSMS app? It’s open-sourced and well rated within the community
I tried QKSMS and google messages and neither one helped. Thanks.
Thanks George, but I don’t see how your suggestion would help.
You said that they told you the phone is “locked”, what does this mean?
If they locked it and you don’t have cellular service this happens by blocking the IMEI. You could switch the SIM cayrs to the other slot and use the other IMEI.
Changing IMEI would make the phone appear let’s say as a Pixel if this is the problem.
The last resort is the LogCat debugging because you may be able to catch some messages explaining the error.
After a month plus of trial and error, I gave up and moved my phone number and IMEI back to my prior full Samsung/Android phone.
Even back on Samsung/Android, the only way I got group messaging to work was to turn google messaging and RCS back on. This suggests that Iode/Brax3 wasn’t the primary issue and the fact prior missed messages popped up suggests that google messaging was still taking in RCS; I’ll never know. Unfortunately since Brax3/Iode doesn’t support RCS, I can’t use it. Gulag and big tech has won. I will continue to tinker around (I have second phone now) and will everyone know if I can find a work around.
George. I don’t know what Mint Mobile meant by locked or partially locked. Locked out of RCS? I was still getting calls, data, and SMS. I’m wondering if MMS is going way and we are getting forced into using RCS which means gulag or apple.
I haven’t used SMS for decades, only the carrier sends me notifications like that. I have never used MMS. I wouldn’t even notice the problem.
MMS is the only way I know off to get group text messages to work without RCS.
