No WiFi or cellular data

Not a good start, got my brax3 yesterday, can’t get it to connect to Asus router, and any cellular data either. I see many issues about the WiFi, but why am I not able to get cellular data to work. I’m in Australia on the Optus network.

Will login to apps like rumble blow the privacy feature, or is this app ok?

There are several things you need to check, have you turned it on, are the APN settings correct, etc. If you search the forum you will find several threads on cellular or mobile data connectivity. Try starting with this one (ignore the fact it’s talking about Mint, your issues may be solved by some of the suggestions):

Sorry to hear about the issues.

Here is a thread about the wifi: iodeOS wifi connection issues
As of now, the fastest way to get this resolved may be to upgrade your router.

As for optus, the device shows that it’s officially supported. See the post here how to verify: BraX3 Telco Compatibility – Rest of the World - #4 by plamen
I suggest that you reach out to Optus directly with that information and try to find out what could be causing an issue.

My router already has the latest update. My mobile provider is a company called spintel which uses the Optus network. I had to manually configure the apn settings to what spintel recommended and I finally got the mobile data to work. The iode text message could not send MMS messages so I had to download another MMS messaging app that could. I still have the WiFi issues, but at least now I can use the phone with mobile data.

After the Latest update I now have full connection to my ASUS RT 68U router which fixed the WiFi issue. I still had some issues even with spintel settings, but I did figure out how to get SMS and mobile data to work all together without a problem. I had to reset the APN settings and work through each one of optus APN settings to find the correct one, some would give me mobile data but no SMS, some would give me SMS but no mobile data. I pick the optus one that said yes-INTERNET, this option gave me both SMS and Mobile data. So a bit of trial and error was necessary for me to get my mobile network to work.
