Please provide ls -la when in that directory
UPDATE: re-checked from scratch, maybe you are missing the executable bit? Do this: sudo chmod +x SPFlashToolV6 then it should be able to execute.

Just did sudo chmod +x SPFlashToolV6 and it now works.
Thanks.
Just edited the guide I made above to clarify this for Linux. Thanks for your persistence!
Now when I follow the instruction Download-XML, navigate to the brax3-user/download_agent/flash.xml file. The file is not listed but it is on my desktop.
OK, I think I have sussed it.
You will have to rummage around in that clunky file explorer when clicking “choose” since you are running as root you will need to manually navigate to your user’s desktop folder.
Found it and running it as i type.
Seems to have finished but a box popped up with error message.
Do i now unplug phone from computer and turn on to reboot?
Yup, that all matches my experience. Let’s see if it worked!
Well, it basically factory reset my phone.
latest update is on it but won’t know if OTA is fixed until next release.
I have now lost the beta OTA updater.
When I download the apk and try and extract the file, I get the message Could not open “UpdaterBetaIode6v2.apk”
Archive type not supported.
That is correct, it gets reset with a system upgrade. The newest 20250803 release is now available as “stable” meaning you don’t need the beta updater to find it. Just refresh in updater, then download and install.
(for another time if you want to try another beta release, you do not “extract” the .apk, you just directly select this .apk and install on the phone.)
Ok.
Thanks for the help
Well, last comment: the full image you just installed is the same date. So I am not certain if the updater app will list it for you. But now that you are on this image, cut over to the wifi threads to report on if it solves your wifi connection issues!
I am one of the lucky ones, in that the phone connects to either of my home routers.
Could you please update the procedures/link to the latest files so that I can find the “flash.xml” file? When I extract the .zip file I do not get the “/brax3-user” directory.
