I would say more than half the time when I hit the recent apps (square at bottom right of phone) nothing happens. Then I hit it again, or even a third time then it will sometimes show the recent apps but usually it just immediately switches to the previous app. This is the first phone I’ve had that does this, is there anyway to fix this?

A couple of questions:
- On what iode OS version are you currently? If you are not at the latest (7.7), could you update and try again?
- It’s worth verifying whether there is an issue with the touch display in the area where the square icon is (recent apps). Could you open a video for example and change orientation, and try to touch the same area (bottom right corner of the device) and see if it continues to misbihave?
I am on 7.7.
I opened a video in VLC, changed orientation and touched the area and the interface responded to each touch. I have not been able to get it to replicate that issue this morning so I have no idea.
Is there any app you would suggest that tracks memory/cpu usage that might give an idea if perhaps it’s a spike in one of those that is causing it to be unresponsive?
I got it to replicate the issue and it seems that whenever I turn the screen on after it has been off it does exactly like my first post described.
I was doing some looking online and it appears that Android v15 had this issue with 3rd party launchers and I don’t know if it ever got fixed by Android. I am using a 3rd party launcher and will switch back to the default to see if that clears it up.
Thank you for sharing this about the 3rd party launcher. Let us know if you manage to reproduce the issue with the default launcher. Based on the information you shared, it would seem that it’s a launcher specific issue.
