3D printed BraX3 case

Hello BraX3 Community,

If you would like to order a case, please send me an email to [email protected]. In the email, please provide the following information:

  • Name - For the mailing label, aliases are cool
  • Mailing Address - I will send your item to the exact address you provide
  • Case Type - bumper style or full coverage
  • Case Number - how many of each type
  • Payment Preference - Bitcoin, Monero, or Stripe (credit or debit)

Prices are as follows:

  • Phone case paid by credit / debit via Stripe - $21
  • Phone case paid with crypto currency - $20
  • $10 for each additional case
  • 3D models paid by credit / debit via Stripe - $5
  • 3D models paid with crypto currency - $4

I settled on using Stripe for those who are not into crypto. I set up Stripe payments to not collect names, addresses, or phone numbers (pictured below). There are many options for payments with Stripe including prepaid gift cards, masked cards (like Privacy.com), credit cards, and debit cards. This, in my opinion, provides you with the most options to maintain a level of digital privacy and security that you are comfortable with. Also, they have the lowest fees compared to eBay, Etsy, ect. For those not familiar with Stripe, it was the payment processor for the BraX3 Indiegogo purchase.

I will ship the case via USPS with tracking. Soon after delivery is confirmed, I will delete any and all emails that have your address on them. Email me at [email protected] if you have any questions. I will try to get these printed and shipped as quickly as possible.

DISCLAIMER: Please be aware that these cases will be printed with a consumer grade 3D printer, not a commercial/professional unit. As such, there could be small cosmetic imperfections (only noticeable at very close inspection). I have taken steps to optimize my 3D printer settings and control filament moisture to ensure the best quality prints and I will double check all prints before sending them out. I have completed many test prints utilizing 3 different materials and have it dialed in quite well.

Blaster, That’s looks great! Will you be offering them for sale? I have 2 brax3’s in the original hard case they came with. The power button on mine somehow fell out, and am waiting for support to get back to me as to how to replace it. Love the phones and wand good fitting protection. Looks like yours is good.

That look cool blaster. Unfortunately I don’t have a 3d printer :frowning: but it’s something I will keep in mind for the future.

That looks fantastic… I originally ordered two of the hard cases, but due to them running out of them, never received. Would you be thinking to publish the stl?

I will snap a few more photos of the cases and post them soon. I have a one more filament I want to test out before I call it finished. I will look into what it will cost to pack and ship these, so if anybody is interested in that, let me know.

Edit: I added a couple more photos. I am happy with the cutouts for the buttons, ports, speaker, ect. and the fit is secure. The full back model is exactly the same, just with full coverage on the back.

It looks wonderful. I would be interested in the full black model. I will monitor thread.

I’d be interested in buying one.

This is amazing! Would you consider making the files available for others to modify or print? I’d like to see about using 3D printing to make a case with a magsafe ring embedded in it.

Hey everybody - I’ve been looking into the best way to get this case out to folks who are interested. I think that I can get packaging materials and then ship them for around $5-$6. I’m thinking that $20 (price + shipping) total would be a fair price.

Given that we are a group of privacy minded individuals, I want to make the exchange of money and information as secure and privacy conscious as possible. If anybody wants to transact in crypto, I would be good with that. I’m thinking Bitcoin, Monero, or ZCash.

I recognize that a lot of people probably are not into crypto. That being the case, there are not many payment options that are privacy friendly. I think that the best way to pay by card online is to use Stripe (which is the payment processor that Indiegogo used when we purchased the BraX3).

I plan to set up a Proton Mail alias and use that email address to communicate with anybody who wants a printed case. If anybody has any other ideas or suggestions, please let me know. Either way, there are no perfect solutions for buying and selling online with perfect digital privacy. I’m hoping to get going by the end of the weekend.

I would love two of these open back cases too. Great design. I could just send cash in the mail. Thats pretty privacy friendly.

I hope you will consider at least selling the model.

For sure. I’m not trying to get rich or anything, but I’m a little over $150 into this project with all of the filament purchases, testing, and help from a pro in fine tuning the fit. Does $5 sound fair for the model?

Also, for those interested, I have printed the case in TPU at three different shore hardness ratings, 85A, 95A, and 98A. The 85A was far too soft and flexible for a secure hold. The 95A was good and secure, but was a little too stretchy for my taste around the lip of the case. The 98A TPU was the winner in my opinion, still flexible enough but a less flex around the front lip. I have been carrying a 98A version for over two weeks now and I think it is the best choice for a phone case.

Only you can decide if you feel that is fair, but I would certainly pay $5 for it and it does seem in line with what other models are priced.

I would love to get a case. I didn’t buy the original, but I found a case that works ok online. Look forward to having a case that fits.

I’d be down for a btc purchase. Just let me know whenever you get everything good.

Please let me know when you get payment options ironed out. I don’t have crypto ready to go, I’d have to figure out how to get set up in that space. Or if you’d take something more mundane like Venmo, or such, I could do that too.

Hi everybody - I updated my original post with information if you want to order a case. I didn’t want it to be buried at the bottom of the thread if folks were keeping tabs. Thanks for the interest and positive feedback!
