I’m also a huge fan of wallet cases for mobile phones - they are the only types of cases I have used in the past for the mobile phones I have owned. And as it appears the casing of the BraX3 phone will be unique & unlike any other - it may be difficult, if not almost impossible, to purchase a matching wallet case for the BraX3 phone elsewhere. All of the wallet cases I have purchased in the past have just been “basic black” in colour.

I would also support being able to purchase a spare battery for the BraX3 phone up front as an accessory. A spare battery will always come in handy.

Here is a place to search by measure

quote from the brax3 chat: “I have found that a Xaomi Redmi 13C case is nearly identical: the 13C is slightly thinner, but the power and volume buttons, camera cutout, speaker, etc all match and the case fits (but doesn’t give “bumper protection” to the screen so it isn’t great). The audio jack is in the wrong spot however so you will need to cut a hole for that. Of course an official case will be better in all regards.”

I had made that post, as one more followup, with the slightly thicker body and the fingerprint sensor being on the power button the Redmi 13C case I got unfortunately makes it hard to use the fingerprint unlock :frowning: I may cut the case a bit but may compromise it then.

Let’s see if the 3D print crowd can fill the gap!

Regarding the charger brick, I just got my Brax3 but no instructions included on what spec charger brick to use for charging? Just want to use the right volts & mA spec brick to avoid any problems.

The BraX3 charges with 10 W, so any charger with 5 VDC and 2 A will work. The phone will probably also charge with a 1 A charger, but much slower, of course.

I took your suggestion and looked for wallet cases for the Redmi 13C phone on Amazon. Found lots of options. Settled on one and ordered it. I really like the Brax3 Rugged case especially the camera lens protection so I removed the case that was attached in the wallet and attached the rugged case with double sided very sticky tape after modifying the camera hole with an exacto knife. Works very well. Still looking for an emf wallet style case but so far none in the Brax3 size range.

Thanks for your posting about the Redmi 13c.

Can anyone recommend an external mic (using 3.5mm audio jack or USB-C) that will work with the Brax3 to record live music? Also, is any special software required like Open Camera?

Hi I broke the rear glass of my phone, hopefully spare glass will be available soon (I checked the website, could not see it 30 Sept 25)

sorry I have not been to the braxtech community for over a week. only seeing your question now. As expertagentinsurance posted you do not need any modifications if you use the linked wallet as is. I wanted to keep using the rugged case that I bought with the Brax3 phone so I needed to widen the camera window so the protector would be accessible. my modifications were done with an exacto knife and I glued the rugged case in place with very sticky double sided tape. It has held up with daily use with no problems.
