I am doing a lot of flying and need the airline apps for getting my boarding passes. I tried to load the Delta and it says ‘App not Available for your device’. Is there a way to bypass this? Why is this not allowed on my device - will this be giving away too much of my information?
Were you trying to install the “Fly Delta” app from the Aurora store?
@Banimal I was able to download and install the Delta app from the Aurora store as well as log in to my account. As Rob has said many times, the Aurora store is on again, off again. Google doesn’t like it and tries to stop it. Try again if you didn’t have luck the first time. I have found that it gives me that error message one time and when I open Aurora store a different time, it allows me to download the app. Hope this helps.
Yes but i tried again and it still doesn’t install
I have downloaded a bunch of apps from the Aurora Store and about 1/4 of them I had to try a second and third time before they downloaded.
Try turning phone off and turn it on again.
@mful50 is spot on. I have been using de-googled phones for around 6 years now and I can confirm that Aurora store can be hit or miss. Keep trying with Aurora or you can go to APK Pure and find the app there.
@Banimal I think that has happened to me. Once again, I think that is an Aurora store issue. It acts like it is going to download and then you get an error message when you try to install the app. You may have to wait a day or so and try again. Don’t give up.
My banking app took a week to be able to be installed through Aurora, in the meantime I downloaded an earlier version from APKPURE or something, I don’t even remember, I searched on Startpage for the latest apk, avoid all those stores that demand to download their app and do some kind of identity verification.
Good idea. Off to APK Pure!
What I do if I get a message in Aurora store that the app isn’t available on my device, I use their spoof manager feature. It allows me to spoof my device model (I usually spoof it to some Pixel model), and then download the app.
You can access this by clicking the 3 dots on top right corner, and then click on Spoof manager.
apkpure.net + Obtainium = a great combination
If you manually install an app from an .apk file, you don’t get notifcations of updates. Obtainium solves that problem.
Good to know! Thanks for the tip.
@plamen I just had the chance to use your trick. I was in the Aurora store and it told me I needed to update some apps. All but one updated. One app would not update in spite of hitting the update button many times. So, remembering your trick, I clicked on the settings (cog icon, I couldn’t find the three dots). A window popped up and a choice was “Spoof manager”. I clicked on it and then clicked on a Pixel 9. After that, I went back to my app to update it…and it worked like a charm. Thanks for your help.
Good to know and understand, thanks for the information.
I got it to install after restarting my Brax3 phone. Thanks for the help! Very appreciated!!
Good idea, thank you.
