Android auto now works wireless?

I have been using android auto through Aurora with the stubs and using it wired for awhile now.

Last night I had an aurora update for android auto and now this morning it connected wireless.

Is this a New thing or did it delete the stubs ?

None of the apps are installed like google maps or anything. And AA still loads vlc player and osmand.

I can see that wireless connection is listed in the features of AA. Seems like a newly introduced feature.
