App storage on SD Card

Is there a way to tell a app to use the SD card for storage? I know that some of my apps that store a lot of data (Joplin for example) have that option in the system settings/apps/app/appinquestion under the storage. On my old phone I have a button to move storage to SD card (or back if it is already there). But on my Brax3 no button is present. The app is the same version that I have on my other phone, yet no option. Am I missing something?

It can be done because I seem to be doing it. Just not sure how. My apps are on the phone (but I do a seedvault backup to my SD card so they should be there too?.

My photos etc all save to my SD card. I’ll keep digging and see what I’ve done

If you go to “Files” you can select or choose Brax Internal or SD card.

Yes, but I still can’t find where I chose to save data etc onto SD card rather than ‘brax 3’. Even under settings - storage - SD card etc. 1st world problems🙂

Yes access to the SD card itself to store files manually is not a problem. But setting a app to store its data there is what I am looking for. For example Amazon and Joplin have that option in system settings/apps under the storage of the app you can select what storage it uses. Or at least on my old Android phone it does. But it don’t on Brax3 even with the same version of the app.

The reason I like to do this is reduces the internal flash wear moving it to the SD card which is easily replaceable. And some apps write a LOT to the flash.
