No audio out when plugging in aux cord into headphone jack in car. Is this another known issue? Any fixes yet?
I’m having the same issue. I turned on some music and while it was playing I plugged in my battery powered speakers and the sound didn’t seem to make it out the headphone jack.
I was just browsing the apps on my phone and came across FMRadio. I tried it and it requested that I plug in headphones it will use as the antenna. I plugged in some headphones and they worked! I found a switch for speaker and it worked too! Some stations weren’t clear so I swung the headphones over the couch and much better.
I’ve been thinking about how my headphones have 3 devices to connect. Two headphones and a microphone. Three separate leads plus the ground equals four separate connectors on my quarter inch jack. My battery powered speakers only require 3 connectors, left, right, and return (aka ground).
This leads to a few questions. How many connections is the headphone jack on my Brax3 designed to receive? Is it possible to damage the headphone socket by inserting the wrong kind of plug? I.E. if the socket is designed for 4 connectors, will inserting a 3 connector plug damage the socket? Also, I’m sure whether there are three or four connectors for any particular automobile depends on the automobile manufacturer. Any suggestions for those who have the wrong type of jack?
I’ve managed to get mine connected to my car via Bluetooth, and sound plays through that.
However, I have plugged my Brax3 into the car via USB and I get an error message on the car console that the phone is incompatible with the car. I can charge up my phone while in the car this way, but I can’t get the Wayz app to display on the car’s HUD. My low-tech workaround is to have an air vent phone holder next to the HUD and use the navigation app that way. Playing music or podcasts in a web browser still plays through my car stereo via Bluetooth even when the web browser is minimized and the Wayz app is open.
I haven’t tried the headphone jack with the car because my car doesn’t have that kind of audio port in it. However, I have tried regular earbuds with the audio jack and that seems to work fine.
I know this doesn’t help your specific problem, but hopefully it can give you some ideas to MacGuyver a functional work around that lets you play audio from your Brax3 through your car stereo.
Have you actually enabled Android Auto in the preinstalled apps section? It is disabled by default since it is a Google app
