If I had to guess, I would say the audio driver is being over-driven the way you can in the Linux OS or in VLC. Raising the volume bar beyond 100% gives you greater volume at the expense of audio quality. The Brax3 sounds fine; but it does seem like the audio is just being overdriven. It’s definitely an acceptable solution and I am glad it was done. I oculd be wrong; but that is my guess.

Hhhm, gotcha. 
Although I thought it might have already done that? I recalled an option to increase volume beyond 100% - but maybe that was just in the music and/or podcast apps I use…?

With the new 6.9 update, I have had to turn my volume down. It seems the audio driver is being WAY over-driven. The audio clips badly at full volume and sounds very distorted. I’m a bit concerned that will damage the speaker over time. So, keep your volume levels lower than max now!
