Aurora Store Java Error

Hello everyone,

New to the forums and need assistance. I do like my Brax3, but encountered the following today when trying to do an anonymous login to Aurora Store (the app worked fine about a week ago):

java.security.cert. CertPath Validator Exception: Trust anchor for certification path not found.

What do I need to do here? I have not changed any settings or configurations. I uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled, rebooted and the java script message still comes up. I also force stopped the app and cleared the cache and still the same issue. Any help is appreciated..thanks!

Aurora Store can be flaky. Some days it connects instantly, others never.

Just keep trying…

…just not too frequentky… Repeated attempts in short time can get you unable to connect for even longer…

My suggestion is try again after 6 hours and if no joy wait 24 hours before trying again.

Also if you use a VPN try turning it off or change the country…

Thank you. I will try the mentioned steps and report back.

Does not work…still getting the error message.

It’s only been about 10 hours since your first post - you need to try again after waiting much longer 24 or even 48 hours…

EDIT: See also…

I had this exact same message this morning too! What’s worse is I am new to Android.

java.security.cert. CertPath Validator Exception: Trust anchor for certification path not found.

I “crumbled” inside imagining I’d have to throw away this new phone (I was panicking).

For what it’s worth:

  1. I did a lot of random stuff
  2. I deactivated my VPN but that didn’t work
  3. Eventually I remembered to disable the “Kill Switch”. Then, I reopened the Aurora store app, clicked Anonymous and it worked.

I am not exactly sure what happened but if I had to guess, since I didn’t disable the VPN “Kill Switch”, I couldn’t use my local internet connection (or a different IP address). Probably not helpful but it’s what I did.

That was a widespread outage of Aurora Store for all phones, which I believe has been resolved now. When Aurora doesn’t work, 99.9% of the time it will be a problem on their end and nothing to worry about. Just wait, and they will fix it eventually

Thank you everyone. It is a learning experience for me, but I did the same procedure as @sutibun and I was able to log in today. I will also keep in mind for the future that the store may have connection issues, and to wait a few days as many of you had mentioned. Enjoy your weekend!
