On my BraX3 running iodéOS-7.7-20260724-brax3 I can turn off Severe threats,
I can turn off Extreme threats,
I can turn off Receive wireless emergency alert notifications,
but at the top of the list is an item greyed out, inaccessible, thus permanently ON:
Emergency alerts: Warn about life threatening events.
I assume that we have to accept this as Government regulation on the phone companies, that any phone connecting to their service must be able to receive alerts about life threatening events.
It was explained above that a phone with no IMEI
probably (as yet untested) will not receive Emergency alerts, but it will not be able to make phone calls either. Should it still be called a phone?
