Battery life since update to 7.4

Hi, I updated to IODE 7.4 two days ago and all went well. Previously when the phone sits idle it uses maybe 10% of battery per day. Three hours ago I had 36% battery and the phone was off and unused since. Just now I heard a sound as the Brax3 shut down due to the battery being at zero. Is shortened battery life a noted problem with 7.4 on the Brax3?

I haven’t noticed that on 7.4. I updated around 2 weeks ago and still charge about twice a day to 80% using charging control.

Thanks for the reply Lazarus.

The 7.5 beta of iode’ just got put up. Maybe that’ll help:

@cott I am interested in knowing if the 7.5 beta release resolves your issue.

I always wait until the updater notifies me that an update is available as I’m not confident about being able to fix a phone if accidentally I mess it up. Just a guess but it seems like the Brax3 had something running in the background Wednesday as it is holding a charge in the 20% range better this morning.

If anything, mine works better. I never had the battery go below about 40 pc even on days when I use the mapping app a lot.

I also have noticed a substantial decrease in battery life with the 7.4 upgrade.

Have you guys notice that since 7.4, when installing an appfrom Aurora Store, it doesn’t show up in the home screen until the device is restarted?

I hope it gets fixed with 7.5…

I am having the same issue with 7.4 and 7.5 updates. Battery used to last idle for 2-3 days, now it will not last more than about 24 hours.

I’ve also noticed what appears to be a decrease in battery life. I use the 80%/20% rule. I used to get a full 2 days on an 80% charge. Now down to maybe 1.25 or 1.5 days. Not super bad, but noticeable. FYI

I do same thing, 80-20. 1-1.5 days would be max.
