Better than I expected!

I’ve been using my Brax3 for a few days now, and I have to say that I’m impressed. This is my first phone with an alternative OS and I was concerned that it would feel restricted, but it really feels like stock Android to me, but without all the bloatware. I had already been using Aurora Store and F-Droid on my Pixel, so those were already familiar to me.
I was worried about the reports of WIFI problems, but I have connected my phone to 3 different WIFI routers now and they all worked the first time.

Yes, I’m impressed with the phone and iodé!

I was a longtime iPhone user. Then last year I degoogled a fxtech pro1x with LineageOS and a Pixel 8 Pro with Graphene. The user experience was okay after a while, but the switch was huge.

By far, the user experience out of the box with Brax3 is best. Love iodé, especially their security app. Even though I would like the Brax3 screen to be brighter, it’s fine all things considered. I’m getting better battery performance with Brax3.

Agreed with all points! Battery life is fantastic, the iode app’s security configuration capabilities have really made me like this device more than any i’ve ever had. Amazing job! Kudos ot everyone at Braxtech and iode!

P.S., I am one who is experiencing the wifi issues. So, my praise isn’t just because I happen to be lucky. This phone genuinely is fantastic; and when you count the price and all the hell Rob and Plamen (and team) had to go through to deliver it, it’s a small miracle.

Did you just install a sim from your previous phone?

No. I was on ATT and didn’t want to risk having my SIM deactivated, so I switched to Mint Mobile (T-Mobile). Plus, I just wanted to try a different carrier for a while. When ATT officially supports the Brax3, I will probably switch back.

We had to login to our carrier’s oinline portal, activate the Brax3’s IMEI with our current SIM number, then install the SIM from our old phone and power on the Brax3.

My overall expectations were exceeded. I have a few apps that are not available or not working yet, but I’m working on it.

For my money, I’d buy this phone over my old iPhone 16 Max Pro that my son is now using.

Glad to hear this! This is our experience as well. It’s not been perfect; but we are VERY pleased with the Brax3 and we are enthusiastically encouraging everyone we know to join the community!

I have over a dozen Wireless Access points and Brax 3 works on all of them. Hint they are over one year old, if that helps.

In order to intercept any of my WAP’s they must be on my property. Not worried about my WAP transmissions. If I can not detect and collect data from them from a distance with 13 ele crossed Yagis, parabolic reflectors with GAASFET LNA’s monitored on a broadband spectrum analyzer I am not concerned. The only external possible threats to my clients are airborne while I am also located in a drone restricted area ( NOTAM and/or TFR). Not a concern.
