Top of screen, pulldown, there is the Bluetooth settings. I wish I could just touch it on or off. But instead, I have to open it, then select to turn it on if off, or off if on, then close the app window. With my Pixel, touching the bluetooth entry on the main screen pulldown would turn it on or off. Long touch brought up the configuration menu. MUUUUUCH better design.
Hi. I believe this has been brought to the attention of the developers. Hopefully a fix is coming in a later update.
That has been a thorn in my flesh also on the Brax3! To turn on WiFi it takes 4 or 5 actions. With the Brax2 it was just one touch for on or off. Kind of irritating. I actually downloaded two widgets that sit on my home screen for toggling the WiFi and Bluetooth on and off. Much easier. I’d rather not have additional widgets though.
So this is a Lineage or even an AOSP thing I believe, and not entirely Iode.
While I have no complaint personally, I guess I never thought about the steps required. After reading your post I tried this on e/os, based on Android 14, on a Fairphone 4, and it indeed works the same. So your widget option seems the route currently.
So an update in this… like 5 minutes later. There is a 1 touch widget in the Widget Config screen. It’s just a wifi button that turns wifi on and off with one touch.
If you pull down on the widget screen and chose the edit pencil, you will will see Wifi. There is one for NFC as well, but not one for Bluetooth. So maybe you could ask @rik how to ask for a feature enhancement.
