Before I updated Iode on my brax 3 the phone was functioning well. example ….shopify would function on cell phone network, without wifi. also incoming phone calls on phone network would display a call incoming. whatsapp will still display calls, but now phone calls do not display. So the only change I made is the latest IODE update. Any one have the same or similar problem? HELP please. Thank You!

These are not issues that we’ve seen reported form an OTA update.
Do you remember the version of the OS you had before the update? And can you confirm which version are you on now?
Do you mean spotify? Regardless, now the app won’t connect on cell phone network, but will connect only when on wifi?
If so, are you sure you have network connection?
Do you just see a missed call notification? Or you hear a ring but no pop up to pick it up?
Hi yes i replied before via email. Spotify is correct because of no wifi or data connection. I have sufficient data band on cell service. Because it will work elsewhere so it is not recongnizing the service in this area as was originally displayed when <i was at the location where it worked before the update. now the message is it will not autoconnect? so something is going on maybe with blocker app? but I can not figure it out? Any ideas? I also did the latest update in december hoping it would correct still same issue. No spotify music at the same location it worked fine before.. Also I tried to log on to the wifi network using the QR code for the password at this same location in question. Scanner will not recognize it…one message was INACTIVE APPLICATION this application has never accessed the network, and therefore remains unknown for the iode app. This was the message after attempt to use spotify a the location I had used it for months, this message was after the update before the last one in December.. Also the phone using the QR scanner will not access Wifi at the location that before the update would access it without a password …it was automatic either on wifi or cell network? So ?
Can you try clearing spotify’s app storage data?
If that won’t help, try uninstalling spotify and installing again. Make sure to grant it the necessary permissions.
About the wifi connection, can you try to manually enter the wifi’s password instead of using the qr code?
Hi Plamen before the iode update was loaded on my phone. For many months the phone would use the cellular network. Data is included in the monthly fee. Now my phone is almost useless for any where other than in my house for whats app or sms. Now because I have seen a message 2 or 3 times this app will not auto connect. Even when I disable wifi so that the phone can only use cell network. So what are the commands to get the phone to recognize auto connect permission? What do you think? Again the locations it work perfectly before it now will not even send SMS messages
I can only guess what you are trying to say.
Your problem should be the carrier’s APN settings.
Find your carrier’s APN on the internet and go to
Settings > Network & internet > SIMs > APN
If it’s correct delete the APN and add a new one with the appropriate settings.
What george wrote is a good step to try fixing your issue.
I will also add that calling your carrier and asking if they see any issue with the service on their end.

Update on my phone brax 3 disfunction. I made 2 visits to 2 different cell phone network company offices for technical evaluation. They both agreed after in front of me removed my SIM card from my phone and installed it into another phone, that there is a problem with the Brax phone because the other phones would log onto the internet via data on the cell network. But the phone will not access the internet anywhere on data network. It will make phone calls anywhere, it will make SMS text anywhere on the cell network, it will access internet when it has WIFI connection. But will not access the cell data network for internet access. So again the techs claim is that the phone has an issue with recognition? I also mentioned your APN idea…but it was not embraced fully after they put my SIM in a different phone and it functioned perfectly. So is it still possible that it is APN? If so how do I correct it? If not then I need a repair plan for the phone. Thank you for your valued help.
You did everything except for checking that the APN is correct and if yes to delete it and add it again. Moreover you spent time to type a huge text to say that you didn’t try the APN.
I told you previously how to check the APN, it should be automatically configured but some times you need to delete it and add it again with the same settings.
If you see many APN entries you have to choose the correct one, for example if you have a monthly plan you shouldn’t have selected the “prepaid” APN.
If you are not sure about the APN or if it doesn’t exist then search on the internet for example “T-Mobile APN”. You had 2 chances to ask them for the correct APN settings but you didn’t.
That kind of narrows some things down but not much.
Can you clarify which telco did you try using? There could be multiple reasons why the SIM won’t work, including: the phone is blocked on the telco’s network (verizon and sometimes AT&T, the phone is missing bands that are supported by the telco (verizon),
Most of the times, it’s related to the APN not being configured correctly. Assuming that the telco support team already checked that onsite, but it’s always best to double check yourself. Maybe give them a call to ask for the APN needed and see if it’s set on your BraX3.

Is there a a way to back up all the data on my phone? Then reset the APN would it not be the same as when I set the phone up originally? the cell network is the same as then. I live in Mexico and Use TELCEL. It uses the TMobile network in the US so it is the same configuration. Also there was no issues until the last IODE update. So I am thinking to just start over? Save and Repeat what worked before? But I need step by step instructions please for back up not in the icloud. Another private cloud is fine.. or other method. Then set up again. Would it not auto recognize the APN as it did before? Thank you Much
Your APN settings should be those, Telcel APN Settings for Android and iPhone 2024 - 3G 4G 5G LTE Internet Setting
You can back up with Seedvault , search in the settings for that. It doesn’t work well always so you may need to try a number of times.
