When I place my phone in my vechile phone holder, as I am driving randomly the phone will light up for no reason. It destracts me when I am driving. I only want light it to light up for a text or a phone call. But this is not the case. Any help is appreciated to shut or change this setting so it stops going off. Even when I hit a bump in road, it will light up. Very aggrevating at night.
Mine does that too - haven’t found a solution yet either. Mine is usually sitting in my console but it is still distracting
I found it in settings & turned it off. Seems on mine it lit up when there was a Weather Alert
I have “wake screen for notifications” off as it would turn on at night 
and I keep the phone in the bed room.
You can also go into the main app notifications and turn off everything except the apps you want. Only problem is, it turns them off all the time, so you would have to turn them all back on when not driving.
Also you can turn notifications off for just the lock screen, but that is all or nothing I think.
Do you have the Lift to wake feature enabled (accessible in Settings > Display)? It seems that vibration from bumps may be triggering it, which lights up your screen.
