Brax3 30+ day experience from a life long IPhone user:

The overall initial configuration was easy and intuitive.

Using Aurora and Fdroid was a no brainer

Default camera app does the job, not as refined or polished as the IPhone camera.

No issues with WiFi on Unifi Ubiquity systems, No issues connecting to WPA2- 3 on homenetwork

Hit or miss issues connecting to WPA3 systems and hot spots outside of homenetwork

No issues with T-Mobile in the States

Does not work with Claro in Latin America

No issues connecting with Tigo in Latin America

70% of Aurora apps work as expected, non working apps easily replaced with web portal equivalents
Xoom, PayPal, capital one, Lyft, Fidelity, Waze, Bitwarden, Amex, all work as expected. Delta, Uber, does not work.

Default music app works as expected, copied music to SDcard, syncs to Proton drive for backup

PipePipe works great as YouTube replacement. I was able to transfer subscriptions from FreeTube on laptop, no issue.

Changed default location of pictures from internal disk to SDcard, then backup from local device to proton drive sync for storage.

Full proton suite of products work as expected. Photos sync to proton drive, proton mail notifies on new email, calendar works as expected, so does VPN. No issues

All contacts easily moved from IPhone to VCF, then transfered to Brax.

Imessage disabled on IPhone, functionality started working as expected. Had to learn about SMS attachment size changes and MMS for group messaging.

Android Auto works well with all the google requirements without login in. I will reset phone to factory settting and try again with stubs installed and a more secure profile overall

Can’t figure out how to get Seedvault to work.

Thanks for the write up.

Good writeup. Thanks.

Great review. Glad to see you’re not having too much of an issue with wifi.
A couple of questions I had…

Togo in Latin America…is that a phone service carrier?

VCF. I don’t know what that is. I don’t use apple but my wife does.

What specifically are you running into? There is one box you have to tick (backup my Apps), and then after that it just runs, based on a couple of rules (like plug into power, or attach USB storage).

Tigo and Claro are the two major celluar providers in Central and South America. Tigo works well with Brax phone, Claro does not. VCF is the default extension to export contacts from Iphone
