Brax3 customs IMEI

hi, i order brax 3 phone and recieved it - opened. it was sent from USA to SWE to UK.

inside package there was phone in cellophane but somebody had put imei numbers on outside of parcel with serial number there too.

lets assume customs recorded imei numbers and serial numbers and my name and address too.

is this a compromise to my security? privacy?

am i tracked when i make phone call? text? use phone online?

how bad is this data/info leak?

any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Border or customs only concerns itself with making sure international commerce is authorised and the import taxes (duties, tarrifs) are paid. Your phone info is in some database but unless you’re being investigated by parties that would have access to that database or it was hacked into, I wouldn’t worry about it. Customs in and of itself has no interest in tracking telecom activities.

Thanks for your opinion, but it doesnt really make me not worry.
Im being tracked now because of Brax and the stupid phone distributor it used.
This could have been all avoided if someone at Brax (who ever sent the phone) didnt put all the important info on the outside of the pack. What a stupid idiot. You must of known theyd look inside the envelope - Great privacy company right there!
These phones are plain useless now, tracked by the gov from day 1.
next time Im at a protest for free speech - theyve got me tracked instantly.
Thanks Brax!

I believe this project is resistance to cooperate observation. As a result of supporting this ‘resistance’ we should actually expect to draw more attention to ourselves from government agencies.

Good point @lll :raising_hands:

@CheekyChops Any public rally would bring one attention as well via potential voice/facial recognition and such… Not good for maintaining Anonymity if you have achieved a measure of that.

so does tesco’s or bank or any other shop i walk into! so whats your point?

and as for maintaining anonymity; well thats up the spout with brax sharing my data with customs officials.

the protest was just an example anyway.

looks like i will have to change imei numbers; or sell the phones. or get a refund.
I have no substantial guarantee i wont be followed around by gov officials; in any of my activites.

again it was pretty dumb leaving all the serial codes on the outside of the packages.
I expected more from a privacy phone company.

Thanks for posting. Just for fun, what phone were you using before?

Maybe you should go back to that phone…

Since you have been found and tracked you shouldn’t be posting on public forums.

I would rant about how terribly you’ve been compromised over on the FBI forum…

This phone and this forum my friend may not serve you well.

You should start a forum and make a phone for dissidents. I’ll be the first to join you brother.

Okay CheekyChops and 3six9, I can tell you how they monitor you at public meetings, demonstartions and “street actions”. In the USA, the crows is monitored by either drones or aircraft ( helicopters, balloons or airplanes). These are in locations at the same radius as each other as close to a circle as possible. The times of signal transmissions are only controlled by two factors, relative distance and ground clutter. The ground clutter is mostly a stable figure with few exceptions of large trucks or other large moving vehicles. I visit the website www.flightradar24.com and look at the geographic area of interest. Most aircraft including drones must avoid collisions with commercial aircraft ( including news helicopters). One result is that they may use both aircraft radio and ADSB transponders to transmit their locations. You can say so what? but it gives excellent location information on those who are monitoring not only mobile phones but also, CB, GMRS , business, taxi and all portable radio frequencies. The receivers use very broadband SDR radios and many have waterfall displays as well as demodulators. It is not important to have technicians analyzing the data real time since there is a tremendous amount of data. The collected data c an be analyzed later. Sometimes beacons are placed in the aircraft to attract the Tx from mobile telephones. In this way multiple converstaions, SMS, and location data can be easily studied and compared to the terrestrial and MTSO trunk transmissions. Example: just for fun . The next time you hear anything about a large demonstration anywhere in the world. Go to flightradar24.com and look at the general area. If you see a “knot” of aircraft in the vicinity of a known activity start selecting one aircarft at a time and watch. Soon you may find an aircarft making an almost perfect circle. This is different than the typical orbiting tracks because in order to collect accurate data the radius must remain as close to constant or fixed for larger groups. If individuals leave this “circle” other aircraft or drones can follow as well. My idea is that NOT HAVING any RF emitting device is an advantage! Most people are already carrying cellphones as a habit. It does not matter if the mobile phone is used or not! It’s presence is all that matters. In the USA “January 6” protests people who had Nothing to do with it were monitored and watched for no reason other than their phone was emitting a signal “near” the location. Some of these people were later arrested or fired from their jobs. I would never trust ANY device that transmits anything since the COMINT ( communication spying) is only ONE factor of many. There are also SIGINT spying ( Signals) , HUMINT (Human spys) as well as ELINT spying ( electronics intelligence). Each is done separately by different people. IMHO the best defense against this spying is to not be present! At this time, it is not yet possible to spy into your brain. It is possible to learn about what Big Tech is doing while being anywhere but the place that they may expect you to be. This is called a Confounding variable and they aren’t smart enough, YET, at these social levels, to figure it out. That is why it is a confounding variable-- an UNKNOWN, that is difficult to define and hence measure. Do not get caught in the spider web, or the hungry spider will know. Hungry spiders do not care who they TRAP OR CATCH, they eat everything in the trap.

Viva la ‘Confounding Variable’(s)
And
Houdini at home in the ‘Unknown’ which will always be commensurate to that which is ‘known’ with equality and balance.

Thanks @pizzalinux1 for showing some modern processes of policing strategic offense against those who may disagree with the political winds of the day and care enough to gather and shout about it.

As the sage says Omne Ignotum Pro Magnifico!! “Everything unknown seems magnificent” We humans tend to exaggerate the importance, difficulty, or impressiveness of things that we don’t understand.

The unknown is more wondrous or significant than it is. When horses were the primary mode of transportation the mere sight of an automobile amazed us all. From I don’t know to----> So what!

If you assumed that a B3 was going to keep you from being seen by a government then you obviously did not do your due diligence.
