My Brax3 arrived today. Have not opened it yet, but it arrived with no apparent damage.
Like all here, I bought this phone to recover personal privacy and say goodbye to out-of-control big tech.
So I’d like to set up and use the phone properly. First question: Is there any point in NOT using a sim in the Brax3 and instead using a mobile hotspot of some kind? ARE there mobile hotspots that aren’t trackable and that you can buy and provision anonymously?
Or is this idea just silly? If so, is using a good VPN like Brax, Mullvad etc. sufficient for most people who are not in the CIA?
If VPN is NOT sufficient, is there a provider you recommend?
(Yes, I’ve watched many Rob videos, and others, but haven’t been able to deduce a clear plan for connecting the Brax3.)

If you have a BraX3 of the new batch, as far as I understand (I may be wrong but I would like to check), it possibly has a different preloader than the previous batch. The official spflash iodéos firmware (at least until version 7.6) seems to have a preloader (with sha256sum 20304da386e66379eab9805b81372319bd5127c6493294d5b2fe21369002fdfc) that only works on the previous batch and cannot successfully perform dram initialization on the new one. Avoid flashing this preloader to a BraX3 device of the new batch to be sure you do not brick it as I did. If you have a backup, it should still be possible to restore it with mtkclient. I don’t have any backup of the preloader, but could someone please extract the preloader from a phone of the new batch and send it to me to check if it is indeed different and to help me unbrick my device, that would be very kind! It looks like BraxSIM Unlisted (US and International) is what I want, but apparently they’re not for sale yet. Does anybody have any info on when they’ll be available?
It’s already in the US for 1 day so should be delivered next week I think. I guess its in customs in CA, then will ship to my state. So hope no hold up.
So, after 2 years I finally got a response for my $60 credit for my 3 phones I ordered in the first week they were available for order. I went to the web site and ordered some stuff. First off, they charged me for international shipping when my package arrived from Texas and then, NOW THIS REALLY PISSES ME OFF, they did NOT give my the $60 credit they showed giving me and THEY FRICKIN CHARGED MY CARD THE FULL $84 !!!
Now I know some of you are going to go all slobering on this but the FACT IS THEY STOLE $60 FROM MY AND CHARGED ME $24 FOR SHIPPING FROM TEXAS TO INDIANA!!
I really feel bad for Rob Braxman, It sure appears to me he got in bed with some seriously CROOKED “people” I want my $60 back very quickly or the LAW WILL BE GETTING INVOLVED! I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS CRAP!! Save your money folks, go somewhere else where there aren’t so many bad things happening!!!
