Android restricts lockscreen passwords at 16 characters. Does the BraX3 allow for more? This is what Brave AI says about Android:
It’s 64 digits.
Nice! ![]()
I saw it took more than 16 when changing but I wasn’t sure how it was recognizing the characters when asked to input them once it has been locked for a longtime and won’t accept biometrics!
Rob’s video on complex passcodes/passwords is relevant & worth a watch: Password Complexity is a Lie – Here’s What Actually Keeps You Safe
In fact it would be better to have all the unlock choices in the lock screen so initially the intruder can’t know which one you have set up and loses completely the incentive without feedback on where was the error.
Even with 4 digits someone has to try 1000s of combinations with increasing interval, if you hadn’t the dots on the screen you wouldn’t even know how many digits you have to enter and the story ends there.
@plamen is it possible to set up multiple locks with specific sequence without feedback on wrong credentials so that the password psychos feel satisfied ?
I want all of them available on the lock screen,
for example, 7 PINs, 15 fingerprints, 45 patterns intermingled in a specific sequence
That is technically possible, yes. I don’t think we will be seeing that feature in AOSP soon, so a custom development by the custom ROM will be needed. We can evaluate this feature when we get to BraxOS again (launching with open_slate)
just presenting all the locks on the screen even if only one can be set is enough to confuse someone and make him quit, this should be easily programmable
That is indeed a more easily programmable feature.
