Brax3 stolen, not bothering to replace it

I took my Brax3 on vacation as a backup in case something happened to my main phone. The Brax was not my main phone because when I left, the WiFi problems had not been fixed yet. I see that is FINALLY fixed. This was a MAJOR HASSLE for me since I live outside cell tower coverage and WiFi is the only way to use a phone at home. The hassle of not being able to use the Brax for SO LONG has convinced me not to bother replacing it now that it was stolen. What other basic features will take forever to fix?

Funny, I was able to fix my no WIFI issue within a week of receipt via side loading.

Sorry you had a bad experience, but maybe this type of phone just isn’t for you.

As far as I know there are no other issues and some users are even able to use it with Verizon by flashing IMEIs.

The Wi-Fi was binary driver related and it was circumvented by changing the ordinary WPA2 authentication settings. It was very difficult to locate the source of the problem even with packet capturing.

My next project at some point will be a hidden service that will be sending the location of the phone to a specific server of your choice though I think it is illegal to go and grab it by yourself by someone else and the police probably won’t care except if there is an officer around or you call them at the spot.

I’m not sure what you’re after, but maybe the source code for Find My Device (FMD) | F-Droid - Free and Open Source Android App Repository could give you some ideas and/or save you some work.

This one will be turned into a hidden service so that it survives after a factory reset.
