BraX3 - Supported Operating Systems

I don’t think “mainline Linux” will come anytime soon (if ever), but Droidian and / or Sailfish (as they are Halium based as is Ubuntu Touch) should be more immediately achievable.

Godspeed @Halium :chequered_flag:

Iodé as well. The blocker is Sweeettt!

When is AT&T going to work on Brax3 phone?

I think this has been covered a couple of times out here… so you may wish to search the articles, but I recall @rik mentioning a virtual ATT carrier who is already functioning. You’ll have to search for the name.

As @xancudo mentions, you can use the AT&T network with https://usmobile.com and possibly some others, but follow here for USA carrier issues: BraX3 Telco Compatibility – United States

Blaster welcome to our community. No secret passwords or 2FA required.

Err, I think you are about 3 months late with that one pizzalinux1…
  :+1:

…although that’s more Rob’s brax.me community slogan, than braxtech.net here.
:slightly_smiling_face:

As an aside, personally I don’t have an issue with having 2FA as long as you don’t need to submit phone number(s) or similar as part of 2FA - just set up in a trustworthy authenticator for daily use, and download/print some back up codes to hard copy for emergency recovery. With no phone (or even email) associated there is no privacy or KYC downside I can see to having the better account security…

I had to provide my phone no. and email for 2fa ordering this phone…

Only 3 months? I typically use

Oh No. I must be a dreamer. I feel like a normie now.

Is there some way to dualboot with Ubuntu Touch ?

Can we exploit the A/B slot system for this purpose?

Technically - yes. Needs to be developed, of course.

Since LunarOS (which is GREAT) is listed as a supported operating system on BraX3, could a copy please be posted for flashing that doesn’t have the “userdebug” watermark?

@Ricmar they are very cryptic with that, it is supposed to have been merged into iodeOS and there is no copy around even though they claim that the WiFi had been working with LunarOS and while people are fed up and returning their phones

@plamen How can the developers of other OS’es reach out to the developers of Brax3 directly. Which email address should they use?

@pizzalinux1 If you know those developers personally, you should ask them to reach out directly to the developers of the Brax3 directly, as @plamen says.

I will do that next Monday. By email? What email to use. Please note developer is in Viet Nam and there is a time day difference.

You should be able to do that soon.
We’re in the process of publishing the LunarOS source code, as well as publishing guides on building the OS, contributing, and tracking issues.

I will make a post once the destination is created.

What is the difference between LunarOS and iOde’OS Premium? The Brax3 is designed for the iOde’ OS Premium. Do you plan to make it capable of installing LunarOS as well? When is this change expected? Does LunarOS also have Premium features?
