Brax3 WiFi connection to Pixel 4XL issue

I have an issue with my Brax3 WiFi connecting to the hotspot of all three of my Pixel 4XL’s even using their QR codes and they are all running CalyxOS.

I can connect to a Pixel 6, a Motorola G34 both on CalyxOS, and a Motorola Power (not sure of model) and a Ulefone both on their original Android OS so its just the Pixel 4XL’s.

I was running iodéOS 6.8 and just updated to 6.9 but still have the same issue.

What do you recommend?

The Brax3 running IodeOS of any recent flavor is unable to connect to a lot of devices running WPA encryption. It doesn’t matter if it’s a WIFI router or a hot-spot in a lot of cases, as it uses the same type of encryption.

What encryption are you running on the he Pixel 4XL’s? You could check to see if the other phones use a different encryption standard and change the Pixel to that standard.

Worth a try,

The choice of encryption on the Pixel 4XL is WPA2-Personal or None, when I switch to None the Brax3 will connect but disconnect when WPA2-Personal is switched on again, the Brax3 will connect to the Pixel 6 when the same encryption is set to WPA2-Personal, other phones will connect to the 4XL with encryption is set but not the Brax3

Therein lies the rub…

Depends on the WPA2 implementation or chip set of the device to which you are trying to connect.

From what I understand, there is no solution at the moment. If you want to connect to the Pixel 4XL, you will have to disable encryption until a solution is patched to the OS.

Ok, thank you for the reply…

Wifi authentication issues solved in latest beta: Here’s the post with the build link, and a post or 2 down I explain more fully the fix.

It will also come as a “stable OTA” update in the near future as well.
