I just tried both versions of open camera, neither can do video, error comes up saying server died video halted. Anyone else encounter this issue?
Yes.
Open Camera v1.52-iode.12 was working fine until recently.

Dont use the iodé specific forked version of Open Camera - its not been updated for a year or so IIRC… I’m using the main version…
This sligthly tweaked version of OpenCamera was used in old versions of iodéOS (up to v3), and is effectively not maintained anymore. It will be removed from our f-droid repository.

There was just another iode 6.9 released today, and the changelog in the News app mentions “Fixed issues related to video capture” and “OpenCamera in particular”.
(I find it a little confusing that they have multiple iode os versions with the same number, and one needs to look at the date as well as the version number. But I’m talking about the 6.9 released today, 2025-11-11)
