Since everybody nowadays wants your location it would be wonderfull if the Brax3 had an option to force a fake or randomize location data for all apps that want your location to work.
I know the hardware is abstracted by a HAL so adding such a thing is likely not easy. But if there is a wizard around who can add it, I guess, would be great feature to lead all these trackers into the woods.
Fake location is not a native feature. But you can easily achieve what you want by installing an app like Fake Traveler (available via f-droid), and adding it as your app for mock location via the Developer options ( System > Developer Options > Select mock location app).
what about mac id spoofing? does Brax3 come with this feature?
Assuming you mean WiFi MAC address. iode supports MAC randomizer - different MAC for each network you connect to.
MAC Spoofing is not a native feature. But I see there are a few android apps that allow you to spoof your MAC.
Yes, that’s what I meant. Sorry for the imprecise language.
It would be great to know if there are any suggestions for such WIFI MAC address spoofing software in terms of its safety and trustworthiness of its makers/repo-maintainers.
I can confirm Fake Traveler works well on the Brax2.
It’s also working on the BraX3
