We don’t think it will be possible to ship with Ubuntu Touch soon. Considering the maturity of the OS at the moment, if you’d have hard time installing it, you will probably have hard time using it as well.
Having said that, we’re working on enabling installation via spflash, which is a much easier way to install the OS than installing via fastboot.
