Can call, text, but cannot access internet, download email, etc. via mobile network.
Everything is configured correctly.
Tried the factory reset (lost all my apps, etc) and still cannot access the APN menu (“access point name settings are not available for this user”) in order to enter the settings suggested by another user with similar issues with Tello.
So frustrated. Power outage fried my WIFI router, so now all I can do is call and text.
Any suggestions on how I might gain access to APN settings would be appreciated!
Did you check your IMEI number on the Tello website to be sure the phone was compatible?
Why not contact them directly and ask for assistance?
Yes, checked compatability and no, others with this issue got no help via Tello.
Another user resolved the issue via GROCK but I am unable to access the APN settings in order to enter the information.
Are you on the latest version of iodeOS and have you tried a factory reset and started all over again? I know, a pain but it might fix these issues.
Edit: I just typed “APN” into the search for Settings and it brought up Access Point Names, which is located under the carrier sim information. Does this not work for you?
Running iodeOS 6.8

This is the error message I receive when I attempt to access the APN Settings.
Are you using a Physical or ESIM?
It’s a physical SIM.
You might contact them and tell them you are going to drop their service if they can’t resolve this issue, especially if the phone shows as being compatible on their website.
To me, it sounds like THEY have locked you out of being able to change the APN settings via the SIM card settings, but then again I am not an expert.
I could guess more, but your guesses would be as good as mine and I don’t want to run you around in circles.
Good luck.
Other Brax users were able to resolve their issues using this information.

One final thought: try to private message the person who got their phone working with the provided information and see if they can give you insights. Did they do the this with the SIM installed OR wait and install the SIM after entering APN information (if that’s even possible).
Oh and…
Oh well, good night!
I had similar issues in Australia with spintel who usea the optus network, i tried to manually configure the apn settings which i got to work sometimes, mms took linger to configure. Then yesterday mobile data stopped access yesterday. So i went back into apn settings and reset them. Doing this reset all the apn for my country and available networks. I chose the correct one and bingo, everything worked as it should. Hope this helps you.
So glad it worked out for you! Thanks so much for the response. ( < ;
@Igor_Shotsky , WOW! I am preparing to go out of town but have emailed the link to myself via desktop so I can access it and try once I’m settled. Bless you! Thanks so much for digging this up!
