Can't access my home wifi with my new Brax!

As I thought. It is separate.
Since @rik insist.
@Nefer could yo uselect wpa-PSK instead please?

then click save also, sorry I forgot

done. it is now on the other option WPA2-PSK

@Nefer no it was on wpa2. @rik wants you to test it on WPA to see if there is any difference.

@Nefer then try to reconnect with the brax phone

Well my point was that WPA-PSK may more likely not work but yes since WPA2 is not working let’s try WPA-PSK. This bug is not yet consistent across different AP systems.

I did but no wifi as a result

I don’t see why you are saying this shit.
IT is consistent accross all brands and models and even distribution. It is simply limited to contained part.
Which again illustrate my point, the key exchange mechanism IS the problem.

Yes, as noted by LostEther it will help to test WPA-PSK, but assuming that will not work as well, please screenshot the Encryption selection list

okey @Nefer well that’s concludes it. You can revert back to wpa2-PSK for your own safety.

@rik again I was right… So nice to have exchanged about it ^^

and nefer did already screenshot the fact it was separate menu item so both item are separate.
The coding of the exchange mechanism is the problem

I’m here on TP-Link firmware and have no issue connecting to WPA2-PSK. @Nefer is on TP-Link firmware and has issues connecting to WPA2-PSK.

@rik okey let’s discuss the model you have. Is it the model after the discovery of the VUB doctorate in Belgium about how to crack WPA2 or is it before?

Won’t hurt to try TKIP, but not much hope I fear.

Now, if you just want to get wifi working then you can reduce your wifi security by choosing WEP at the bottom, then put a “key” which will be your password. It will work, it is not a great choice. Are you in an area where neighbors will be within range of your wifi?

@Nefer, for your addressing problem (so you can access your tplink after we are gone)
You can email me or chat with me on bracx net. The email is the same than the nickname.

Sorry I am honestly trying to follow but don’t.

@rik do you even realize what you are suggesting right now? this goes against over how many rules, regulations in terms even just about tech support .

I still don’t have wifi. So what shall I do next?

@Nefer I would not use wifi on my brax3 or use another phone to do a relay.
But first I would address the problem of the addressing in your tplink router. That we can resolve over mail if you want. So you can access your tplink interface whenever you want.

But apparently@rik wants to go any rules in ethics, regulations and so forth and put you on WEP encryption key so what the hell. You canchoose that if you want, or no security at all ,that’s even the same actually

If they are in an area out of range of neighbors then yes, it is true that WEP is not much above “no security”.

over mail? so I have to email you from now on to fix the issue what is your email address?
