There are so many notifications that iode won’t let me modify. Breezy Weather for one. I should have complete control over this phone but all these notifications are forcing their way onto the screen ! Help.
It’s been my experience that’s not at all how android-based operating systems work. That’s why I’m so anxious for the Ubuntu Touch port to get cellular functionality. ![]()
I too get frustrated by all the noise - sure wish the iode app would do its work silently in the background.
For Breezy tap on the weather information to open the app > 3 bars upper left > the gear upper right > notifications
For me it’s only the severe weather notifications activated.
Do the same for every app, search for notification controls in the app.
Apparently the breezy weather app was installed by the iode os and it won’t even let me uninstall it. This is total BS. I tried to disable notifications but it won’t let me. All greyed out.
Just go into settings and under apps find preinstalled apps, in there you can remove it. Once you have hit the trash can to uninstall it reboot the phone to complete clean up and fully uninstall it.
You can disable notifications in breezy weather by going into the app, tap hamburger menu on top left, then tap settings cog at top right (it’ll say “Location” at top). Then scroll down to notification options. I have all notifications except severe weather happily disabled - and seems to behave itself.
I’ve found it pretty good for weather, better than the Apple app.
Right before your last post I told you how to turn off the Breezy notifications.
