Corrupt iodéos 7.6 spflash package (bad CRC when extracting super.img)

Hello !

I noticed the latest iodéos 7.6 spflash zip file has a bad CRC issue when extracting super.img:

$ sha256sum iode-7.6-20260623-brax3-spflash.zip

Could this be fixed ?

Also, regarding the preloader_k6835v1_64.bin file in this package (with sha256sum 20304da386e66379eab9805b81372319bd5127c6493294d5b2fe21369002fdfc, which is the same also in previous versions), I was wondering if it was really compatible with the new batch of BraX3 phones, because it looks like flashing it on my phone bricked it. Could you please provide the official preloader compatible with the new BraX3 batch as well so that I can repair my device?

Thank you in advance!

Hello @vincent or @rik !
As part of the iodé team, do you have the possibility to fix these issues?

For info, while the iodé team is hopefully fixing this in the official firmware:

I noticed that you linked to the 20260701 release of the fastboot package and thought perhaps you intended on 20260623 so I downloaded it, but when I tried unzipping it, I got the same bad CRC issue that I got with super.img from spflash. Did you really mean to suggest assembling a new super.img from a newer release to use with the previous 20260623?

I did not try version 20260623 of the fastboot package as there was a more recent one. I actually only used partition images (*.img) from the more recent fastboot package and did not mix them, but other files (than partition images) in the spflash package (such as xml, download agent,…) do not change from one version to anither, and can be reused.

There’s nothing we can do at iodé, this is in the hands for Brax Tech.

@vincent Thank you very much for your answer!
@tech-support Can you fix these issues ?

We’ve uploaded a new spflash build. Tested and working. Let us know if you still have any issues.

@tech-support Thank you!

There is no longer a bad CRC error when extracting super.img :+1:

However, it seems the preloader_k6835v1_64.bin preloader in the new spflash build is still with sha256sum 20304da386e66379eab9805b81372319bd5127c6493294d5b2fe21369002fdfc, which means it is not compatible with BraX3 phones of the new batch. It bricked mine. I was (hopefully) able to repair it with the new preloader shared by @daniel here, also available here, sha256: d9ec305e5cf8b786ba5f39cd1715f49e9e7eee903cc54ed490c581604a414661

It’s replicated and we’re working on a fixx

I have a 2025 BraX3 and the iode’ 7.6 spflash file installed just fine in Linux, though it ends with an error like every other iode’ spflash file I’ve used. It does boot OK, though!

Yes, the spflash build works fine on BraX3 rev1, but not on BraX3 rev2. We’re working on a solution. We might have 7.7 build first before 7.6. We should know within today/tomorrow.
