9/6/2025 I tried again to share the same contact from my iphone to the B3 and get “error: unable to download MMS”
I’m getting discouraged here. I can’t do basic things on this phone.
I can’t connect to wifi, I understand it’s being worked
I can’t “share” individual contacts from my old iPhone to the Brax3
and now I can’t send or receive pictures or videos
Can anyone address the last 2 issues? Is there a user guide somewhere that shows how to configure the phone for the various network carriers? That would be helpful. I thought someone posted a link but I can’t find it.
It’s not specific to an iPhone, but it could possibly help.
I’m not an apple user, so I can’t help with specific steps. The BraX3 contact app supports .vcf import. If you’re able to export a .vcf file from your iphone or icloud, you should be able to import those to your BraX3.
For this issue with iPhone check out this thread (especially the post linked below). If using vcf basically your iPhone (vcf v3) is too advanced for the default contacts (vcf v2). There are alternates that support up to vcf v4:
In addition to @plamen’s comments if you’ve come from an iPhone and have used same SIM you have possibly forgotten to deregister iMessage, etc, which might also be mucking up your MMS functionality…
Thanks Plamen! I can’t import contacts from my iphone 6 and I can’t access the store because Apple blocks older iOS so it’snot an option to download an app either.
I am taking photos with native app and trying to share them via text (MMS). I also don’t recieve pics and vids that others send me. I’m sure its a configuration issue, but I don’t know what the config should be for Patriot Mobile on T-mobile.
Thank Mycenius! I am able to text. And I was able to import contacts individually, but I had to stop and intended to pick it up again, but now I find I can’t “share” them from the iphone 6 now. I can’t import/export as I have already tried and downloading an app to do it is not an option as the iOS is too old and cannot update iOS. iMessage is disabled on the iphone.
In that case, it seems that you won’t be able to bulk import your contacts to BraX3. I’m not sure I can help you with some workaround on your apple phone.
Basically you have network (data, calls, and sms) but you’re not able to send or receive MMS?
