Find your carrier’s APN settings on the internet and configure them at

Settings > Network & internet > SIMs > APN

If it still doesnt work go again and delete the APN and add it again.

There is also a setting for the maximum allowed MMS size which anyway is very limited.

OK I’ll try that

So far nothing works still can’t send photos using the default fossify messages app for the Brax3

Have you done the same on other phones ?

The file shouldn’t exceed the maximum size supported by the carrier.

You can try other open source or not apps including Google messages.

Thanks for responding George - no I have only one Android based phone the Brax3

File size- I did find a setting if Fossify Messages to condense and limit file size is this what you ment or does T-Mobile US. my Carrier have a size limit for video or photo

PS is there some other phone APN settings that I could copy as T-Mobile has a list but the brax3 is not listed

Your thoughts?

Try also other messaging apps from Aurora and F-Droid.

I think there is an MMS size limit in Android but I’m not sure, search in the Settings search bar.

T-mobile’s APN settings are everywhere on the internet.

Try to create a separate MMS APN from the internet’s one.

The carrier has a size limit too.

Other members reporting similar issue resolved it by installing a third party app called QKSMS

So QKSMS worked however the resize sent MMS setting was set at 300KB so back to Fossify messages and now its sending photos at 1MB or Less -short videos wont send, says file to large - could not get QKSMS to send any video either.

So for now its partially solved (fossify messages had to be in a glitch the other day as I did try smaller file size in its settings)

If anyone figures this out let us know - I need the ability to send Large file size video and photos in Text message app to both Apple and Android phones. T-Mobile US. I have a plan with No limits and No throttle. Brax3

Have you checked with TMO if there is any file size limit for outbound MMS?

it seems that the Fossify apps don’t handle the HAL correctly and they need another app to “wake it up”, the same happens with the Phone app

I’ve added this issue to iode’s issue board: Fossify messages won't send MMS (#67) · Issues · ota / issue-tracker · GitLab Will ping the developers.

So that turned out to be a loaded question, short answer is 1MB file size limit on the Carrier side -

however T-Mobile is using advanced MMS they call ““RCS”” AND the RCS MMS file size limit on the Carrier side is 100MB yes BIG DIFFERENCE.

That said there is more to the RCS side of things than I care to know, like people with iOS 18 + (Crapple device) they must go into their settings and turn on RCS - also I’m told that messages apps that come built in with many phones have RCS already running. (Not sure if this is true for Fossify messages Brax3 yet)

Here is a link if anyone is interested
