These are just a few general questions from a real beginners point of view. In getting a Brax3 phone in my case I would have to leave Verizon which I have had forever, maybe 40 years. Does that mean I would give up my phone number, which I have had forever ever since I’ve had phones? If I keep my old phone number, does that compromise the safety and security I would gain from going to the Brax3 phone?

Verizon is compatible with Brax.
Do not need to change anything. Just stick in the sim card.
Now I will add ( in case you don’t know) if you have a Gmail account. DO NOT SIGN IN . On a brax phone. Same with YouTube. Although I use chrome and then YouTube. But I dont sign in

I see from the table that Verizon is listed as not compatible. That’s my understanding from doing my own research. Is there some current information that I’m not picking up on?
BTW, I just finished Rob’s book, “Your Mind is the Product.” And although much of the technical detail is way over my head I’m ready the make a move and retire my old Samsung Galaxy S9+ phone to get a Brax3. i just need to clarify a few basic issues about it.

I was the same, one of my lines was on Visible/Verizon so I had to port out to Mint Mobile when they had that 50% unlimited deals. Easy to do just get your account numbers and a port out code from Verizon.
Thanks. i understand that porting my number should be no issue. But the larger question remains; will keeping my decades-old phone number compromise the security and privacy advantage of getting the Brax3 phone?
Take with a grain of salt but i heard that having a single number essentially becomes a form of id. So regardless of switching phones or not, your phone number becomes a tracking id, more so the longer you’ve held it.
I use multiple numbers and VOIP lines not just 1. I use each for different people and purposes. I would keep the old one and add a 2nd new line.
These phones only block Google and Amazon from things, but if anyone “really was looking at you”, they would figure out this new phone and even new number going to all the same locations your old one was used is you. 
You have a brand new phone no one knows, brand new number no one knows and turn it on at home. 
Then you drive around with it all the normal places you go, go to your friends houses, then take it work. So now this new everything is going to the same places your old one did. Not hard to figure out its still you “if” any agencys wanted.
