At night I turn my phone off and plug it into charge in my bedroom. I like a pitch black room. Brax 3 screen light stays on all night while charging, very strange. Anyone else experience this?

This is a bug, logged in Gitlab. Just has not been fixed yet.

For myself, I wouldn’t worry about it. And I would probably just flip it over on its face. 
By the Gitlab, the issues is being worked on.
It still glows when flipped over.
So since I don’t charge it at the nightstand, I never experience it. But the good news is that its being actively worked on.

Hi.
Plug your phone into your charger.
The screen comes on.
Now double tap on the top tool bar or
Press the power button once.
Either one should turn the screen off.

Thanks. Hopefully this helps others. I’ve returned my Brax phone for refine, went back to GrapheneOS.

Try using some Grip Tape or even Gorilla Tape like used to cover all Smartphone camera spy lenses.
I recommend you always have another PLAN B just in the event you learn of a new privacy invader from Zuck or others.
I usually turn off my phone to charge it, so there is no way to turn off the back light. I hope this will be fixed so I won’t be thinking about the screen life every time I am charging it.

Hi.
Double tap on the top of the screen or press the power button once. Either way will turn off the screen.

Oh, I didn’t read your first set of instructions clearly, I need to press the power button (or tap on top of the screen) when it goes back on again showing the charging status. Thank you for repeating!

Yah. Ironically enough when the phone is on and charging, it doesn’t glow. I just kind of write it off as a quirky attribute. A cute glitch
Battery is finally low enough for a recharge. Though the power button turn off the screen but the backlight remains on when charging while the phone is off.
