@plamen I saw another reference that this is not working under iodéOS, has anyone actually successfully reset IMEI?
My situation: in trying different test builds, etc. with SPFlash, I accidentally wiped my IMEI. I have them listed in a text file. When using the tool (W10 64bit, firewall disabled, newest driver installed - I even installed W10 on a spare laptop just for this :-), I do the following:
- Start the Tool
V1.2463.0.0(as listed from “Help > About” - Set settings as described.
- Click start, entering IMEI 1 and 2, and “OK”
- Output: it says “Start searching preloader com port and handshake…”
- Plug in powered-off phone, it does detect and display “META MODE” at bottom for a second
- Output: it says “Start searching kernel com port and handshake…” and just stays there. No more progress.
- After another minute or so, it goes back to the IMEI entry window (both are empty). No “FAIL”, no nothing. Just sort of “gets stuck”.
- I found in the logs,
C:\SN Writer\, this message:
ERROR: SP_BROM::SP_GetUSBCOMPortWithFIlter(): enum kernel comport fail(1042). (SPexc.cpp:1060)
Possibilities / Questions:
- The link to the specific SN Writer tool download doesn’t work for me. I just got the “newest version”,
V1.2463.0.0(as listed from “Help > About” - Should be bootloader be unlocked? I have tried both ways, I think the same errors

- Other ideas?
