About half of the apps that I created APKs for on my other Android phone will not install on iODE OS, and most give an error about an invalid split APK or something. Is there a way to resolve that issue? This is an important problem for me because I don’t intend to use the supplied app stores, although I don’t mind downloading from f-droid. Apps that don’t install include essential stuff like Amazon.
Perhaps try the SAI App (Split APK Installer from F-Droid)
Might work for your use case?
I just tried that and it didn’t work for any of the apps I tried. Reddit, Ikea, Fitbit, etc.
The SAI app complains “Package requires splits, but they weren’t provided.”
if you’re comfortable using adb from the android platform tools, there is a solution to extract the splits from one device and push them to the other.
That would be fine, but my Samsung isn’t rooted.
I see f-droid has something called APK Explorer & Editor, maybe that will help.
If the apks you made turned out to be split apks maybe this app can help. I have used it to merge split apks I was having problems with installing by other means, and installed the apps successfully after merged. Search for “antisplit m github” to get it, by a arabic named dev.
